We are delighted to announce Andrew McDowall as a Keynote speaker at the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale this September.

Andrew McDowall is a Cambridge based 3D scanning and 3D modelling Artist. The focus of his work is to explore the world through digital capture and create digital sculpture, using 3D printing and augmented reality he is able to create physical objects and virtual artifacts which help to make the digital tangible. 

 With a background in fine art Andrew McDowall has worked on wide a range of high profile projects. He has over a decade of experience working with artists, designers, museums and galleries. He was also part of the Innovation team behind the 2016 British Olympic Cycling team and Bafta nominated and Annie Award winning animation shorts. 

Collaborating with The Cambridge Original printmakers on the forthcoming Biennale is a new venture that sets out to bring 3D technologies and analogue methods together, demonstrating how tools such as 3D printers and 3D scanners can be utilized to enhance or reinterpret traditional processes in modern print making.
