Keynote speakers

We are thrilled to announce our keynote speakers who will be talking about their print work during the two weekends of the Cambridge Original Printmakers exhibition. Please click on the Eventbrite link to book the free places.

Carry Akroyd


Carry will be joining us as a speaker on Saturday 4 October 2014 at 1pm in the Bentley Room.

Carry will be talking about the sources of her imagery and how these relate to the various print processes she uses.


Master Printmaker Kip Gresham

Kip will be speaking in the Bentley Room on Saturday 4th October at 3pm.

"Image and process, a seamless fusion"


Andy English

Andy will be joining us as a guest speaker on Sunday 28th September in the Bentley Room at 2.30pm.

"Bookplates, The Woman In Black and Armoured Bears: the unexpected world of a wood-engraver for hire"

Andy will describe the history of and demonstrate the technique of wood engraving. He will also talk about the inspiration behind his personal work as well as describing some of his commissioned illustrations.

Chloë Cheese

Chloë will be joining us as a guest speaker on Saturday 27 September at 1pm.

Renowned Printmaker Chloë Cheese will be talking about how her personal background and her mother's work has influenced her own printmaking throughout her career.


Master Printmaker Stanley Jones

Stanley will be joining us in the Oriel Room on Saturday 27 September at 3pm.

'The Concepts in Printmaking at Curwen'.


Master Printmaker James Hill


Saturday 27 September at 11am

James is the owner and founder of St Barnabas Press. He will be talking about the history and techniques of Chinese woodblock printmaking.
