Sherry Rea

Sherry’s artwork is inspired by her childhood on the Kent Coast, and subsequently living and working in possibly the most visually exciting cities in the UK: Oxford, London and Cambridge!  Influences also stem from her life now in the rural Cambridgeshire and a background in biological sciences (which she now tutors) that her images include seascapes, landscapes, urban imagery, subjects from nature, as well as the human form and portraits.     Coastline

She enjoys experimentally manipulate printmaking and painting techniques.  The focus of the artwork may be on textures and the play of light within the piece.

Highlights of 2013 for Sherry included an exhibition at the University of Oxford with the Purple Printmakers; and inclusion of her cityscape, ‘Global, commissioned by TheCityUK, on their literature.
