Ross Loveday was born in Wales and practised as an optician for many years before starting to draw and paint in his early 30’s.
His early works were primarily acrylic on canvas, although recently his focus has broadened to include printmaking using the drypoint / carborundum technique.
He made his first prints alongside Stanley Jones at the Curwen Studio, Cambridge but now based in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk he prints at Hawkend Sudio, Elmswell with the printmaker Ed Wilson.
Loveday is the winner of several awards and prizes including the TrevelyanAward at Originals ’08 and his work can be found in The Prince of Wales Private Collection, The House of Lords and the Celtic Manor Hotel in Wales.
Loveday exhibits at The Eames Fine Art Gallery in Bermondsey London, Bircham Gallery in Norfolk and other East Anglian galleries.
