Sherry Rea

Sherry ReaSherry Rea focuses on texture and its resonance with the subject. Using collagraph, mono print, and drypoint, sometimes experimentally combined and modified, she creates marks that celebrate what she sees and feels.

Her inspiration for images of tactile and detailed aspects of plants and animals stems from her work in biology and passion for biodiversity. Sherry utilises everyday and artists materials and found objects. She enjoys observing, collecting, sketching and making prints of wildlife in the Cambridgeshire countryside and her travels, sometimes using plants and even creatures, in her printmaking plates.

Sherry exhibits with Cambridge Open Studios and the Cambridge Drawing Society
