Anna grew up on a farm in south Cambridgeshire surrounded by animals, wildlife and the countryside, which has inspired her work. She often combines lino cutting with screen printing and sometimes hand colours her original limited edition prints. She exhibits with the Cambridge Drawing Society, Royston Arts Society, the Beds, Bucks and Herts Print Society and Cambridge Open Studios. She has her prints and cards at various galleries.
Anna has always been creative, but family life and teaching were a priority for many years. On retirement she became captivated by printmaking in 2011, completing the Certificate and Advanced Printmaking courses at the Curwen Print Study Centre. She loves the tools, processes, materials and colours involved in print making. Anna’s hare and owl prints are in 2 beautiful books, The Artful Hare and The Elegant Fowl, the latter published in June 2016.
Anna loves inspiring others at lino cutting workshops in her studio and at other venues including Art Van Go in Knebworth and this year for the first time at Oxford Summer School. She was the demonstrating printmaker in the Craft and Design magazine marquee at Living Crafts at Hatfield House again this year.
